Miracles can happen!

We went to help clean mom's house this weekend. Can you believe we actually found some items that were salvagable! Some of the very things I was dreading finding, and consequently seeing ruined, were actually fine. Mom was able to find a few things as well. Most of her favorite dishes and glasses seem ok. Of course they will have to be washed eighty thousand times before we want to use them again, but she is determined. The worst part is finding pictures. They are all pretty much gone, just smudged ink where our faces used to be. The good news is we are almost done cleaning out the house. We only have the bedrooms left.

Happier news...
Its almost Thanksgiving. The best part of that is the week off of school! How fabulous is that. A whole week without lesson plans or grading. To top it off the Mr. and I are planning a mini vacation for a good friend's wedding. It should be fun!
