Wha t a crappy time to start feeling sick. I had to take the day off today to recouperate. I basically slept all day. With the exception of going to the dentist today. I figured while I had taken the day off I might as well go and take care of a broken filling. Yeah, tons of fun I know. I generally hate going to the dentist but today was ok. Fairly good news (minus the expense it will incur) but oh well. One more trip to the dentist and I should be done.

Anyway, I have had some ideas about blogging ideas so I fear that this blog may be somewhat random. But here goes...

First of all, to all of those crazy people in Gonzales protesting the FEMA trailer park there....GET OVER IT. At least they have a home. I understand they may not want a trailer park in their backyards but hey at least they still have their backyards! Oh well, I could go on and on but Ill leave it at that.

Second, Cross Canadian Ragweed didn't live up to our expectations this time. Maybe it was because we were both sick and shouldnt have gone anyway (but hey, after you have spent that much money you can't NOT go, right?) Oh well, they were somewhat dissapointing. I guess mostly the crowd could be blamed. It seemed that the Greek population that showed up decided it was more of a social hour than a country/rock show. Couple that with a set list full of new songs that the crowd just didnt know and you have a recipe for a poor show. Then the band doesnt make it any better by getting pissed and refusing to play some of the songs that the crowd did know. A few songs did rock "Wanna Rock and Roll", "Anywhere but Here", and "Fightin For" were all great but even "Boys from Oklahoma" and "Carney Man" seemed a little stale and forced. I consider myself a real fan. The Mr. and I figured we have seen them at the Varsity at least 6 times (last night included) and we have all but one album. So its a shame to see them bite the hand that feeds them. The Mr. and I will have to be convinced to spend the money again on a weeknight show.

Third, I am very bummed to see Commander in Chief is taking a hiatus. The Mr. and I love that show. How can it be nominated for Golden Globes and still put on a break. Who knows. I just know I cant wait for it to come on again!

Ok, I know there are more things I wanted to blog about but I can't think right now. Hopefully Ill remember later. I think Im going to go back to bed and wake up in the morning. How is it that you can sleep all day but still be tired in the evening? I guess its just sheer exhaustion. ugh.

Good night for now!
